Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences promotes the simultaneous pursuit of academic specialization and diversity.
Although the Faculty of Humanities consists of two separate departments that, in spite of having different departments, all aim to help students develop an ability to take creative and innovative approaches to the problems they will face in an increasingly complex and diverse world that have been brought on by globalization and the information revolution. The Faculty therefore provides not only a specialized education in different areas of the humanities and social sciences, but also encourages its undergraduates to approach their studies from a multi-disciplinary point of view.
The Hirosaki University Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (master’s course) offers a well-rounded educational program in the humanities and the social sciences that prepares students to become highly skilled specialists and researchers.
